First, your personal trainer will review your health and fitness history forms and go over any conditions you may have and get as in-depth an understanding of your current physical condition as possible. Next, your trainer will perform a series of circumference and body fat measurements. Then, your personal trainer will perform a physical assessment to check cardiovascular condition, flexibility, and upper and lower body strength.The reason for this assessment is simple: to reach your fitness goals, you have to know where you are starting. This assessment provides you and your trainer a baseline of your physical condition, and will allow you to chart your progress regularly and see your improvements not only visibly, but with numbers as well (numbers don’t lie).
